Top grades and SAT scores? Good. . . but not good enough for Harvard. So Rory
gets extra busy with an extracurricular activity, building a house for charity.
And Sookie cooks up a surprise engagement party.
Episode 203: Red Light on the Wedding Night
Red means stop. A new traffic light in front of the diner had Luke seeing red.
At her bachelorette bash, a different kind of signal has Lorelai seeing clearly.
. . maybe.
Episode 204: The Road Trip to Harvard
On the road after the broken engagement, Lorelai and Rory enconter kitsch and
class. The kitsch: a flower-overpowered B&B. The class: Harvard, where Rory feels
at home and Lorelai feels a few pangs.
Episode 205: Nick & Nora/Sid & Nancy
When Luke's rebellious 17-year-old nephew Jess moves in with him, Lorelai
offers unwelcome parenting advice. Rory's on the school newspaper staff. But
editor Paris is eager to write Rory's journalistic obituary.
Episode 206: Presenting Lorelai Gilmore
To please Emily, Rory agrees to come out at a debutants' ball. Lorelai gets a
second surprise when Christopher agrees to fulfill his fatherly deb
duties.
Episode 207: Like Mother, Like Daughter
The in crowd: that's what Rory reluctantly joins to develop social skills at
Chilton. The inn crowd: that's who hosts a school fashion show that features
Lorelai and Emily in matching outfits. Can you say inncredible?
Episode 208: The Ins & Outs of Inns
The first rule of partnership: no yelling. Lorelai and Sookie cheerfully make
plans for opening their own inn. But when they learn the Independence might be
sold, Lorelai has a super-sized meltdown.
Episode 209: Run Away, Little Boy
Young love, Gilmore girl style. In the school play, Rory is Juliet and Tristin
is Romeo - and Dean is peeved. Meanwhile, Lorelai dates a much younger business
school classmate, much to Luke's amusement.
Episode 210: The Bracebridge Dinner
Let it snow, let it snow! At the last moment, a Chicago snowstorm strands
guests who paid for a fablous dinner at the inn, so Lorelai invites most of Stars
Hollow to the feast.
Episode 211: Secrets and Loans
Stop bugging me. Lorelai's house has termites - and the girls have no money
for repairs. Emily offers a loan, but Lorelai balks at becoming even more
indebted to her. Lane starts shaking her pom-poms.
Episode 212: Richard in Stars Hollow
Newly retired Richard is driving Emily crazy, so Lorelai agrees to fathersit
for one day. Paris yearna to expose the corruption she's sure is seething beneath
Stars Hollow's sunny exterior.
Episode 213: A-Tisket, A-Tasket
Spring is here and so is the annal Stars Hollow picnic basket auction. The
bidding results in some intersting pairings like Sookie and Kirk, Lane and her
cousin and Rory and Jess.
Episode 214: It Should've Been Lorelai
A new mom for Rory? When Christopher's gorgeous new girlfriend Sherry meets
the Gilmore girls, it's clear she wants to insta-bonda with Rory. Lorelai feels a
bit uncomfortable. . . but Emily is furious.
Episode 215: Lost and Found
Lorelai wants to give Jess the benefit of the doubt, but doubts come flooding
back when Rory's special bracelet, the one Dean gave her, goes mission. Luke
apartment-hunts with surprising results.
Episode 216: There's the Rub
A trip to a posh spa is just what Lorelai needs, complete with Emily along as
gal pal. More uncomfortable company: with Lorelai gone, Rory plans an evening
alone, until Paris, Jess and Dean barge in.
Episode 217: Dead Uncles and Vegetables
Bride and doom. While Emily meddles in Sookie's weddin plans, Luke has to
arrange a different kind of ceremony. His disagreeable Uncle Louie died, and no
one in Stars Hollow wants to come to the funeral.
Episode 218: Back in the Saddle Again
Richard helps Rory with her business-fair project and gets the entrepreneurial
itch. Michel's mother Giselle, a French Auntie Mame, comes for a visit. C'est
Magnifique!
Episode 219: Teach Me Tonight
Every parent's nightmare: a call from the emergency room. That's what Lorelai
gets when Rory fractures her wrist in a car crash. When Luke finds out the driver
was Jess, he sends his nephew packing.
Episode 220: Help Wanted
No Post-Its, no paper clips. At Richard's new consulting business, volunteer
office manager Lorelai needs to hire a replacement - fast. When a music store
opens, Lane hears the siren call of a shiny red drum set.
Episode 221: Lorelai's Graduation Day
Its Lorelai's graduation from community college, so Rory organizes a cheering
section for the event. Everyone shows up except Rory, who takes an impulsive trip
to New York to see Jess and doesn't make it back in time.
Episode 222: I Can't Get Started
The happiest day of Sookie's life (even if her groom is wearing a kilt) brings
romantic turmoil for Lorelai and Rory. Also: Paris runs for student body
president, but she can't win without a VP who adds likeability to the
ticket.
